Lela R. Katzman is the founder and owner of Full Spectrum Communications, a strategic marketing communications agency formed in 1996 and based in Loudonville, NY. Ms. Katzman offers her clients 30 years of strategic marketing communications experience.
Prior to forming Full Spectrum Communications, Ms. Katzman worked at a variety of prestigious public relations agencies such as Cohn & Wolfe (a division of Burson-Marsteller) and not-for-profit organizations. She provided both consumer and technical marketing communications and public relations services for companies and organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Brookfield Renewable Energy Group, Coca-Cola USA and New York, Erie Canalway Heritage Fund, Carrier Corporation, GE Power Systems, Hasbro, Inc., Ocean Spray Cranberries, PA Consulting Group and Western Union.
Ms. Katzman holds a bachelor’s of arts in communications studies and a minor in history from the State University of New York at Oswego. Ms. Katzman continues to provide mentoring services to SUNY Oswego public relations students through the college’s Alumni Sharing Knowledge program. She is also a graduate of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneurial Training Course.
Community service work is very important to Ms. Katzman. Over the years, she has devoted time to a variety of charities including Congregation Berith Sholom, Junior Achievement, North Colonie Central Schools, Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Department, Senior Services of Albany, and WMHT's RISE radio reading program for the blind and print-disabled.
Personal interests include fitness, gardening, music, film, theater and travel. Ms. Katzman is the proud parent of two young men. She resides in Loudonville with her husband and their beautiful Labradoodle.
